Currently, STEP is cooperating with Co-opBank to implement the project of building E-banking system.
STEP is consulting the partner in technology solution and hardware configuration as required by the e-banking project. During the recent time STEP together with IT department of CoopBank participated many meetings with the potential provider to finalize solutions.
The project is entering the final stages of contract signing with the provider and is expected to be completed and go live in Q4-2022.
The main goal is to add a new Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) that will connect all the bank’s internal and external systems together, while also customizing a new interface for PCFs and CBV branches.
This E-Banking (electronic banking) system will then provide an online banking service to help customers manage accounts and perform transactions quickly through internet-connected devices such as a laptop, desktop computer, or phone.
Advantages of e-Banking:
- Make cash transfers or send/receive money between accounts almost instantly within the same or different financial institutions 24/7.
- Pay numerous types of bills, such as electricity, water, telecommunications, cable TV, tuition fees, etc.
- Purchase various goods and services, such as air tickets, train tickets, bus tickets, movie tickets, etc.
- Make payments to the state budget (e.g., taxes, registration fees, etc.) and different loans.
